A 1925 SS Byron arrival in New York carrying a passenger named Panagiotis Jeannopoulos. Because Takis’s full birth name was Panagiotis Lazare, this is most likely Takis on the runaway-return crossing of 1925 — eight years before the 1933 SS Bremen arrival for which we have a direct manifest. The boys had run away to Greece earlier that year; this is the crossing that brought one of them back.
Filed under Takis’s record pending positive identification; the name alone does not prove identity, and the 1933 manifest details (age, last residence, US contact) should be compared once both are reviewed together.
