A handwritten letter dated December 26, 1923 with a Soma provenance — fifteen months after the family had fled. By the date on this paper, the Jeannopoulos household was already in Mytilene; whoever was still writing from Soma was either someone left behind or someone who had returned to a town the Greeks were no longer supposed to be in. It is one of the very few surviving Anatolian-era pieces of family correspondence. Its addressee, sender, and contents have not yet been transcribed.
